You Ate WHAT?!? You Guys Are Weird!!!

G’day!

No beating around the bush today – straight in with the results from yesterday’s
comp. Oh – and if you are new to the ‘bunny fam’, then welcome… it’s not always
this crazy – sometimes it’s a little worse.. lol!

Oh – first! Please don’t be offended that I haven’t responded to all of your
messages. I am working on something super wicked that will be coming… soon… and
don’t like copy and paste messages – so i am closing the messages. Thanks so much
for all of your entries – my daughter and I had a blast reading through them!

Wi’nner of the ‘Weirdest Food’ competition was Member 72037, Lucy with this entry:

In Japan as a teen, I was invited to a restaurant where I had to consume soup with a
live goldfish swimming in it.

Thanks for your entry Lucy, I am still chucking, picturing a teenager sitting at a
fancy resturant and that shocked look on her face… lol!

Lucy will be in the special seat all week – with a 1:3 ratio, and a stack of other
goodies :) So – congrats!

Want more chuckles? Here are a couple of other entries. I couldn’t put them all in
- but thought you might find these funny!

My kid sister is a Betty Crocker sort of gal. One holiday she made beautiful Apple
Pies. They looked awesome! Imagine all of our faces on the first bite. It seems that
she accidently used Chile Powder instead of Cinnamon!

When I was young we spent the summers at my grandparents farm every year. The raised
cattle, chickens, hogs, and grew crops… The whole nine yards for a farm.

One day I was in the kitchen and I saw my grandmother eating a fried grey meat and
just thoroughly enjoying it. I asked if I could have some and she cut me off a bite
or two and gave it to me to eat.

After I ate it she told me it was “fried hog brains” apparently when ever the
slaughtered a hog she would keep the brains to fry and eat.

Although it really didn’t taste bad, after finding out what the strange meat was I
never tried it again.

There you have it, the strangest thing I ever ate. :)

I spent a year living in Japan. We went for pizza one day and my japanese friend
ordered. So we are munching away and I ask him what this tasty whitish meat was. It
was kind of chewy, but actually not too bad. He looked at me and said SQUID!
definitely wierd!

==== OK – this is me (Cindy) here.. I jsut wanted to say that I thought this one was
funny ’cause we eat squid pretty much on a weekly basis… maybe I am weird!!! OK -
back to the funnies! ======

***Anonymous + Wendy***

We had three people (two who wanted to stay anonymous) who said that they have eaten
groundhog! The only groundhog I have ever seen is in that Bill Murray movie.. – and
you guys ATE it?!?! Is that normal?!?!

***MsDrakes Confession***

When I was growing up, I used to go out for hamburgers with my family. I would take
the french fries and put them on my hamburger. I have also on occasion put mashed
potatoes on my hamburger.

==== I thought this sounded yummy.. lol – I actually like to dip my fries in my
chocolate sundae… yeah… I really am weird!!====

***Stephanie***

Ok, as weird as this sounds, it actually tasted good… Last night we had fried pork
chops covered in canned cherries, apple slices, and almonds. Sure did look weird but
definitely something to look forward to in the future… hahaha…

***Jerry***

One day somebody decided it would be a good idea to serve a Peanut Butter Soup. It
doesn’t sound that horrible but ugh! You know when you start to throw up a little
bit and it goes back down and you get that burning sensation at the back of your
throat. Yeah? Then you know exactly what peanut butter soup tastes like.

Needless to say we didn’t serve a whole lot of that soup… except to the teachers
we didn’t like. For them it got our highest recommendation.

*******Jeremy.. well weird…you poor, poor man!!********

I’ve had my share of exotic foods like rattel snake, cow brains, and fried beetels
(yuk). They don’t even come close to my 93 year old grandmother’s cooking weirdness.

She made green jellow with green beans, walnuts, mandrin oranges, and corn. That had
to be the strangest thing I ever put in my mouth. She is so sweet that I had to try
it.

Well, I hope you had fun! I know I did! Now.. stop your laughing! This internet
promotion thing is serious business! What were you thinking?!?
