My First iPhone Game!!!

Hey!  So, I am very excited to announce that yesterday, our iPhone dev guys have submitted our very first iPhone game!

iPhone/iPad/iPod games aren’t anything new really anymore – loads of people are pushing them out, but this has just been a bit of a challenge I set for myself – and it is ALMOST coming to fruition!

It has been a very long process getting the game ready for market, and before you think anything along the lines of ‘wow – i didn’t know she could program iPhone games’ … well… don’t be too impressed… lol.  I didn’t do a whole lot on this game personally.  I found a development team from vWorker  who did all of the technical aspects of the game – and were just amazing to work with.

About 6 months ago, I had an idea for a game – and Soren, John and I decided to just go for it and test out a new marketplace.  So, I went looking for a team and found a dev company based in the Philippines.  I got them to sign an NDA first (most people are happy to do that – and you can just get templates by searching Google… or do what we did, and use echosign.com ) – then shared my idea with them.

About a month later, they had a working prototype.  It sucked… it more than sucked… it was, the lamest, most horrible, boring piece of rubbish I had every seen… lol.

I spent some time talking with the team and getting their ideas on improvement – and we came up with a totally different play mechanic, and it was SO much more fun.  I guess the proof will be in whether people actually buy it/download it etc – and play it!!  We shall see! *fingers crossed*

So, it is off to the iTunes store.  I think, right now… the plan is to release it in the first week or two of March – but you can guarantee, when it does go live – I will be telling everyone I know about it… and probably a few random people that I don’t really know too…

Will keep you updated as it goes.  For now, everything iTunes game related is going over here: http://chumpchop.com – I am super keen to hear if anyone has a game review site, or blog etc – and would like to have prerelease access to test it and write up a review support desk, would love to chat!

What is your problem?!?!

So, first of all – excuse me for the rant – but I just had to blurt, because it is something that is probably one of the biggest mindset blocks to success that I see… and the thing is, fixing it is so brainblowingly simple that… well, to be honest – I think that is what bugs me most, to see people SOOOO close to success – and then just stop – just short of actual breakthrough.

What the heck am I talking about?

Going to offline events.  Now, I hear you saying, “but… we run an online business!  I can network in forums and on Skype, why do I need to get to offline events?”  Funny thing is, every time I head to the airport I have one friend or relative that asks me that question… I mean, I guess it doesn’t make logical sense.

The thing that keeps me going back, is that every single time I go – I always benefit like crazy.  Here is how :)

Networking:  It’s no secret – this is probably the biggest way to get the most out of being at these events, but it isn’t just in sticking to the conference rooms.  The REAL juicy stuff gets done in the hallways, or in the local bar.  My hint, if you are totally new to all of this, is to just intro yourself to a few people in the hallways.  Chances are they are just as nervous as you, or – if this isn’t their first conference, they will remember their first – and how scary that can be.

You might get lucky and meet someone that you click with, have something in common with – or could potentially work together with, but if not – don’t give up.  Find the hotel bar and see if you can overhear some chat about Google, FTP, Affiliate, CPA or any of the other buzz words.  No need to totally stalk people or anything.. lol, just say, ‘hey! are you here for the conference?’ and find out what they are up to.

Clear Plan of Attack: When I go to these conferences, I like to have some kind of plan – I fly in from Australia, so I want every minute on the ground to count!  I have this fear of getting onto the plane home and freaking out ’cause I didn’t get anything done… lol.  The month or so before an event, I usually find out who is going (via asking around on places like the warrior forum, or Skype) – and then scheduling catchups with people.  Even the busiest people, if you get in early enough, will usually make room for you for 30 mins.

When you do talk to people, you need something to say to them… lol.  I like to go with at least one project that I am currently working on – and one that we have planned in the future… a launch is great to start conversation, find out what kind of lists people have and then what products they have.

Partner Hunting:  It’s pretty rare for you to have the entire pallet of skills needed to produce great quality stuff and launch them successfully, especially when starting out and the budget might be a little too tight to outsource things you can’t manage.  Something that I find exciting though is that everyone is fantastic at something, you will have your own skills – it might be that you are great at design, or maybe programming, or finding affiliates.  Whatever it is – you can get great at it and just focus on finding people to work with who can fill in the gaps that you can’t, or don’t have time to learn.

So, my main rant is when people who live in the same country, sometimes even in the same state – or in some cases even in THE SAME CITY, tell me that they can’t afford to go.  What works for me, is to not think of the cost as an expense, as much as it is an investment – of which, you will see massive returns if you do it right!

All the best,

Cindy

mmm… juicy, spicy, healthy…

I am giving ‘healthy’ a bit of a conscious go this year – have decided to set myself a goal of August to reach my goal weight, so lots of work ahead.  The main reasons I am doing it are to have more energy, more focus and fit into a bunch of clothes i have been hanging on to for far too long… haha.  Either that – or head out on a shopping spree… hmm… not a bad idea!!!

So, to do that – I am getting more active, I hired a personal trainer to kick my ass around for one session a week – to keep me on track, and then doing a bunch of stuff the rest of the week at home, or at the beach etc.

I am also changing a bit of what I put into my mouth, namely eating more regular meals – kinda get slack during the day and then just totally overeat at night (yeah yeah…. i know… it’s bad.. ) – and also having more alcohol free days a week than ones with a glass of wine (or two.. lol).

Also!  Started juicing – thanks to a good friend of mine, who is part of the inspiration for the health kick.  He gave me his recipe and I kinda tweaked it with what I had in the house…

So, this is what i put in – yeah, it looks kinda weird, but it tastes really good!  I have like.. around half a bunch of kale, one blood orange, 1 pear, 1 lime, 1 little chilli and a big of ginger.

I don’t actually have a juicer that works…  I tried using mine and it was a messy disaster of epic proportion – so what i did was throw it all into the blender, with about half a glass of water to get it all moving – until it was mush, and then strain it.  I kinda like doing it this way anyway… I think you get more of the goodness when you can squeeze it dry a bit more.

So this was the end result – am lovin the colour in that…

spicy juice after

And the verdict?  It was quite tasty… I think the ‘little’ chilli had a bit too much kick though… should have probably gone with a different type maybe – or just added half, but I like a bit of spice – and LOVE the lime.  Will have to try this one out again I think!

Do you guys have any good juice recipes, or resources for interesting, healthy, juices?   I am always on the look out for more good stuff!

Cheers!

Today is a new day!

Don’t you just love how each morning, even on the days that it is difficult to get yourself out of the nice cosy blankets – it is a chance to start fresh?

It’s one of my most favourite bits about life.  One day everything can be going to crap, you go to sleep – wake up, and tackle things with a fresh mind and a new perspective – and (well… the plan is… ) it works!

Of course it doesn’t always just ‘work’, but there are a few things that you can do to help the process.  Here are some things that I do – let me know what it is that helps you to make the most out of each day!

1) Change my mindset.  This is usually the biggest issue for me.  If something is looking too big, sometimes too big that I don’t even want to start tackling it – I try changing the way I am looking at it.  If it is something scary, that is making me feel anxious, I tell myself that the same physical response  that my body has to a fear stimulus, is exactly the same physical response that happens when I am excited.  Tell my brain that what I am feeling is excitement – and the brain kicks in.

2) Write notes, masses of them.  I am a bit messy that way.  I don’t write on paper a lot, but i usually have a text doc open to just blurt stuff on.  If I am feeling particularly overwhelmed, I find it useful to take 10 minutes out – and write a list, so that I can get that ‘woohoo’ feeling when I get to cross something off as done.

3) Prioritise what is important, and what probably doesn’t need stressing about right now.  Some things just aren’t worth the brain space – including some people (arrg… not meaning to be nasty there… ).  If someone, or some thing is draining your energy – try and limit your time doing that or being around that, until you are mentally stronger to deal with it.  Obviously, if it is your kids who are driving you nuts… you just have to suck it up, princess!  haha.  I am more talking about relationships – it’s ok to draw the line on a emotion-sucking one way super needy relationship, you don’t have to be mean about it, but I have found that making the boundaries clear cut has saved my sanity many times.

So.. there are plenty of other things that we probably all do subconsciously to be the kick ass people we (YOU!) are – but I just wanted to jot a few of them down while I thought of them.

Feel free to share any that you think I could benefit from – that work for you, or that other people might want to – or could learn from too!

Have an awesome day!

How to Promote ClickBank Products with Article Marketing

Your authors’ box will contain some information about yourself, as well as the link to your website or where you would offer your ClickBank affiliate links or you could link to a ClickBank product directly (if allowed by the article directory). If the article directory does not allow affiliate links, you can purchase a domain name and forward it to the ClickBank product. Make sure that in your authors’ box, you give the readers a strong reason to click on the link in order to find out more information about the product or purchase it. As a reference, you can take a look at other peoples’ author boxes within the directory you are submitting to in order to generate some ideas.

When you have selected a ClickBank product that you would like to promote, you will need to answer one simple question “how will I promote this product?” Article marketing is a very low cost strategy that many ClickBank marketers utilize. Article marketing is a great strategy that is very unique and only available on the web and as far as I know, not available in the offline world in any similar form or shape. In the following steps below, I will show you the things you need to do in order to promote and sell ClickBank products as an affiliate and earn commission.

Make money online by taking advantage of the home based business opportunity listed in my Resources Box below this article.

Earn extra cash from home by clicking on the link in my Resources Box below this article to start making money online today.

Choose a ClickBank product that has high demand –

When choosing a product, it is good to choose one that has many marketing tools available for the affiliates. These pre-made marketing tools usually include banners, emails, affiliate website, splash pages, landing pages, text ads, etc. These marketing tools will make your promotions a lot easier as you would already have a lot of the work done for you by the company which will make marketing the product much easier.

If you are already a ClickBank affiliate or someone looking to find out more about how to make money online with ClickBank, you’re in the right place. ClickBank marketplace is the most profitable way to make money by selling information on the internet. This is true if you’re trying to sell ClickBank products as an affiliate or if you list your own digital products with ClickBank and become a merchant. However, there are many things that you should take into consideration when choosing a profitable product to make money online with. In the following steps below, I will give you a few practical ideas that you should strongly consider.

Earn an extra income online by taking advantage of the work from home opportunity listed in my Resources Box below this article.

Write an ebook, create software or put together a report that will sell. Make sure it has a fresh angle that will make it different from any similar products.

Choose a price for your item. Choose a percentage of each sale that will go to anyone who sells the item on your behalf.

Find new ways to market your item. Post information about it in forums and on related websites.

If you want to make Clickbank money you can. In fact, this is where most internet marketers get their feet wet. That’s because it’s so easy to become an affiliate. The problem comes when the newbie marketer sets up a Blogger blog or Squidoo lens and puts in a hoplink and says ta da that’s it! Or so they think. Sorry, it doesn’t work like that except on rare occasions.

Belated New Years Resolutions

The beautiful thing about starting a new year is the opportunity to start fresh.  One of my favourite things too is that you can look over last year, where did we screw up, where could we have improved, what is going on in general with both life and also the industry going on.

It has been a mad year for my family and myself.  If you didn’t know, we moved out to Cyprus in February – which was an amazing experience.  We moved into a housing complex, where we had one of my biz partners on one side (Soren Jordansen) and my other living behind us (John Merrick).  It allowed us to have a total kick ass year, it’s amazing how much more productive you can be, when you can just turn to a person and talk to them, rather than send an email, wait for them to wake up, deal with it, and get back to you, after you have had some sleep (them being in Europe, and me in Australia).

But now, that time has come to a close.  If you are a Cypriot, please do not take offence, but… the schooling system in Cyprus just wasn’t up to our standards, so we have brought our kids back to Australia.  We ended up home schooling them for a chunk of last year, which was awesome, ’cause we also had the opportunity to SHOW them some amazing things, like taking them to places like the British Museum, Egypt, Vatican City and many more places.  I am pretty sure that they learned LOADS last year!  They are looking forward to starting school next week though, getting new friends etc (and I am looking forward to having days with an empty house.. yay!!!).

So.. NY’s resolutions?

As it turns out, NY’s is a great time for reflection – but many of the things that we were all gung-ho about changing on Jan 1st… by the time it gets to Feb 1st have been forgotten, or at least, relaxed just a little.

One of my NY’s resolutions which actually came into effect around October last year, was to just look at what is going on in this industry and stick to our moral guns.  NY flicked over – and it allowed me to draw a line in the sand and say.. that was how it happened then, this is now.  So, Soren, John and I are still talking about how to explain what has been going on in the office discussions, but if you weren’t aware – we are now reviewing every product that goes forward for promotion.  It used to be ok to just say ‘yep, i know you – your previous stuff has been good, this should be decent’ – it is sooo not the case anymore.

So, we have some announcements coming up soon about where we are heading this year, as you know, we take a huge amount of pride in anything we release and don’t put our names on half-assed, scammy products – and coming up this year, we are even more resolved to doing this.  We really do value all of our readers, and I understand that when you subscribe to our emails, you are placing trust in what we are sharing with you – so, this year, I look forward to bringing you a ton of awesome, tested options for learning, growing and increasing your online success.

Sheesh… Blab on much?  lol.

Catch ya soon!
Cindy

P.S. Another NY rez is to update this more often, let me know if there are things you want to learn more about, hear more about – or just wanna tell me off for not coming and updating here enough.

Positivity Shake Up

Was talking with my good friend Marc Lindsay today about attitudes, things that we speak and how that (either consciously or subconsciously) effects everything that we produce on our lives.

Talk about a massive wake-up call!  I hadn’t realised, but with everything else going on, I had been putting off making the choice (and the time investment) to build up my own personal development.  It is so easy to get busy with ‘stuff’ and to forget that we still need to push ourselves, encourage ourselves to be more than we are right now.  And it’s not even just that!  Before getting into Internet Marketing etc, I had horrible self talk, I was just terrible to myself – changing what went on inside of my head – and what came out of my mouth to a more positive outlook on life and everything in general, was hugely responsible for a lot of what has happened over the last few years – which has just been amazing.  But!  By not focussing on what I am thinking about etc.  I have let myself slip back into bad, destructive habits – which, today… I plan to officially call a stop to.

So, today I am starting on a mission to feed more positivity into my life, first of all with my speech – choosing the words that come out of my mouth, the thoughts that I dwell on and the way that I deal with life in general.

Marc recommended this Jeffery Gitomer Positivity audio.  I just listened to it for the first time – and, I have decided to make this a regular thing to listen to.  He also recommends a lot of different classic tools, by guys like Napoleon Hill, Dale Carnegie etc, so I think it might be time to dust off the old books and start shaking up the way that I think and live.

So!  If you have read something inspirational, or have listened to this Gitomer audio etc.  let me know how it effected you :)

Cheers for now!

Webmaster Radio Interview

Hey people!  So… I have so many cool things going on and just realised (yeah… like…. duh…), that I should probably share some of them with you on the blog… lol

So, this last 9 months we have been based in Cyprus, ’cause it is heaps close to pretty much everything in Europe – well, WAY closer than it is in Australia – and we wanted to also use this time to set up our company over here too.  Being here has been fantastic!  We have been able to go to Munich, London, Israel and Denmark as well as a coupled of trips over to the US, which, from here, takes about half the time as a trip from Australia.

One of the highlights was being able to meet some of the guys from Clickbank, of whom, I have been totally inspired in so many ways – and will continue to move my schedule around to be able to spend as much time with them, because they are a bunch of folks who push me to be better, do better and accomplish more!

Anyway!  Was super excited then, that Dush Ramachandran asked me to join him and Beau Blackwell for their bi-weekly radio show!

Besides being brilliant and just a lovely person to hang around (not to mention, a heaps gorgeous accent.. lol), Dush is an excellent person to bounce ideas around with, which is what we did in the 30 minute radio chat – talking about how to launch a product, some of the important things to think about when preparing to release a product as well as just some general bits and pieces to help people to succeed with affiliate marketing.

Here is the link for the replay: Clickbank Interview

Have a look and let me know what you think :)  would love to hear too, if there is anything else you want to know about anything to do with affiliate marketing, or Clickbank stuff in general.  I love it – and am more than happy to talk about it with/to everyone and anyone who will listen.. lol

Cya for now!

Membership Site Training Giveaway

Hey guys!

Wow – the blog too a crazy long time to get fixed, but that isn’t anybodies fault – stuff happens.  Fortunately things are getting back on track and my good friend Chad is starting to feel a little better – so, yay!

Anyway, ages ago I mentioned that I would have a few freebies for you – and wanted to share this one with you.

You will know by now that I have an almost borderline obsession with membership based websites.  In four years I have been able to go from total noobie, not knowing my html from my armpit – to now running a 7 figure company (with my two biz partners), all based around the membership model.

Why do I love it?  Well, it gives you the freedom to do what you want, when you want.  You can literally set things up and go away for a week, two weeks – whatever, and come back and still have things running smoothly.  You are able to make money 24/7 too which is always a bonus…lol

Well, there are loads more reasons to run membership websites – but if you aren’t convinced, I have got access here to a free membership that you will love.  It’s chocca’s fully of info about why you should (massive benefits!!!) and then the practical ‘how to’ of it too.  Hope you like it!

All the best!
Cindy
